CATALYSTS
Manufacturing catalysts since 1998. ActiveSite provides custom and contract catalyst manufacturing from initial concept through full-scale commercial production. Our engineers and scientists combine deep technical expertise with practical commercialization experience to help clients move from lab-proven results to scalable, financeable processes - faster.
Catalyst Manufacturing
Custom Manufacturing
Custom catalysts are required when clients are developing new chemicals or chemical processes where no commercial formulation exists. ActiveSite’s development process begins with custom catalyst preparation and laboratory-scale trials, followed by pilot-scale demonstration, before advancing to commercial manufacturing. We work with you at every stage to generate technically defensible data and reduce scale-up risk.

Contract Manufacturing
Contract manufacturing takes place using an existing client
recipe for catalyst manufacturing. ActiveSite has both pilot
assets for initial demonstration and production assets for
commercial manufacturing.

CATALYST FORMATS

Fixed Bed Catalysts
Structured catalyst systems deployed in fixed bed reactors for continuous or semi-continuous processes, including hydrogenation, oxidation, and reductive alkylation.

Slurry Catalysts
Finely dispersed catalyst systems used in batch or semi-batch reactor processes, suited for reactions requiring intimate catalyst-reactant contact in liquid phase.
Our Process for
Catalyst Manufacturing
Every project begins with a discovery call to understand your goals, chemistry, and development stage. From there, ActiveSite guides clients through a structured development pathway:
-
Lab-scale catalyst preparation and characterization
-
Laboratory-scale performance testing and data generation
-
Pilot-scale demonstration to validate scale-up parameters
-
Commercial manufacturing with consistent quality controls
-
Ongoing technical support through toll manufacturing and supply agreements
ActiveSite evaluates every project through a scale-up lens, considering raw material availability, process economics, and technology transfer requirements from the start. This ensures data generated at each stage supports confident progression to the next.
